How to be Happy
When we look at happiness we need to start from within and look for goodness in others. Being happy is a state of mind and is influenced by our attitude and our attitude to others.
To achieve true happiness and be really happy simply requires a change of outlook adopting positive thoughts and rejecting negative thoughts.
What is happiness?
The world is difficult, the life is full of problems, people are angry, irritative and negative… What to do with all these thoughts?
Almost everyone thinks about the things like this at least once in his or her life.
Most people leave the situation as it is and only few people really find the ways to improve their lives and achieve happiness.
How do they manage to do it? Or it was just chance?
Let’s try to understand the reason and origin of their success and find ways we can be really happy.
First and foremost we should start with our mind.
Consciousness determines the being – and these are not just words. All your inner feelings and emotions directly correspond to what is happening to you and your life.
A simple example:
Every morning you go to the bathroom to take a shower or just to wash yourself. What are your first thoughts when you see yourself at the mirror? “Early getting up! I want to sleep! Going to work again! My face reflects the tiredness. I’m sick and tired of everything. When will the week-end come? Etc.”
The result:
Irritation, tiredness and dissatisfaction are the outcome of these thoughts.
All the events of the day will reflect this negative state of mind.
The way to work will be intolerable: unending traffic jams, crowds in metro and buses, angry people around.
Your job will be boring, your boss – a tyrant, your colleagues tedious, your every day dying talents…….. At home everything is the same: children, kitchen, television… Who wants to live in all these? How could we be really happy if the life is like that?
Happiness think positive
But there exist another way which is simple and straightforward and can help you face the day in a happy frame of mind and have positive thoughts
It is believed that as all negative thoughts attract negative ones so all positive thoughts attract more positives.
More over, there exists an understanding of a fact that positive field attracts another positive field. And this is exactly what we are talking about.
If you are positive inside, if you are happy to accept the world as it is in its beauty, if you really like your life all the changes will come immediately.
First you should realize that the God you worship created you not for suffering and pain, but for happiness, creation and partnership, for you to love and to be loved.
Happiness some simple rules
To be specific let’s turn to the main rules which will help you to be changed.
Every morning looking to the mirror say yourself “Dear Pete (Nick, Marry), I love you. Today you look brilliant. Today is your day; you will be successful in everything you do in the name of Love and Good.” Then smile to the mirror and look at yourself (how do you feel when smiling?) and outside (how you look when smiling?). This exercise may not work the first time, but it will work when you smile everyday!
After that tell yourself that all of the people you meet today will be polite, all events you experience will be good.
Of course, you shouldn’t forget that everything starts from within yourself. If you don't like a person and are not polite the encounter will be negative. However, if you sincerely believe the the person is good, the encounter will be positive.
Happiness is seeing the good in others
Be open to people, believe in your being surrounded only by interesting and kind people, be ready to get pleasure from your contacts to them, and the world will start changing for you: you will inevitably realize that a dream “How to be happy” will become a reality for you.
Happiness final words
Yes, being happy and general happiness in your life comes from your view of the world, it really is that simple!
If you want to be happy you will be, if you don’t you won't. So, the next time you are felling tired and angry stop and reflect and see the good in the world and use these positive thoughts to create happiness for you and those around you.

9 Tips in Life that Lead to Happiness
Are you truly happy? Do you even know what it means to be happy and what it takes to achieve happiness? These are important questions for anyone who is seeking happiness to ask themselves. I live my life to maintain my own happiness while trying my best to not cause unhappiness to anyone else. If you want to be happy you need to understand that you can be happy and that you should be happy. Many people make the mistake of believing that they don’t deserve happiness and accept their unhappy state as their destiny. The truth of the matter is that happiness, like anything else in life, needs to be nurtured. The following are a few tips that I follow to create happiness in my life.
- Understand what it is that will make you happy. Everyone has unique requirements for attaining happiness and what makes one person happy may be very different from what makes someone else happy. Revel in your individuality and do not worry about whether or not your desires are comparable to those of your peers.
- Make a plan for attaining goals that you believe will make you happy. Your mood will very likely increase as your pursue your goal because you will feel better about yourself for going after something you value.
- Surround yourself with happy people. It is easy to begin to think negatively when you are surrounded by people who think that way. Conversely, if you are around people who are happy their emotional state will be infectious.
- When something goes wrong try to figure out a solution instead of wallowing in self pity. Truly happy people don’t allow set backs to affect their mood because they know that with a little thought they can turn the circumstances back to their favor.
- Spend a few minutes each day thinking about the things that make you happy. These few minutes will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will lead you to continued happiness.
- It’s also important to take some time each day to do something nice for yourself. Whether you treat yourself to lunch, take a long, relaxing bath or simply spend a few extra minutes on your appearance you will be subconsciously putting yourself in a better mood.
- Finding the humor in situations can also lead to happiness. While there are times that require you to be serious, when it is appropriate, find a way to make light of a situation that would otherwise make you unhappy.
- Maintaining your health is another way to achieve happiness. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise has been known to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness.
- Finally, it is important to understand that you deserve happiness. Those who believe that they are not worthy of happiness may subconsciously sabotage their efforts to achieve happiness. If necessary, tell yourself each day that you deserve to be happy and remind yourself what steps you will take to achieve the happiness you desire.

feeling that everyone wants to feel each day. Are you confused on the techniques
on how to share happiness with everyone? Well then, this article might help
you.
SMILE!
A simple act, but sometimes hard to give. When people are feeling joy and
happiness, SMILE is present. Laughter follows within. Imagine the world when
people are happy everyday. Chaos, sadness, sorrows, anger and other negative
feelings surely have no place. One technique which is surely effective is having
a sense of humor. A very simple, inexpensive and easy way. Crack some jokes,
share fun stories and have fun. Anywhere is a good venue for it.
Problems are always part of every life and there is no way to avoid them. No matter what
lifestyle or life status is, problems are always there. Every man or woman,
single or married, child or adult, rich or poor, nobody is exempted from it. The
best means to overcome problems is through great happiness without a
cost.
No matter how tired and heavy feeling each person has, a simple joke and fun can
take it away. Sharing jokes in a group of friends could possibly reduce the
feeling of sadness, worry and sorrows too. Tell them happy stories or even share
a comedy story. Let them share their own happy stories too. Create a topic and
let everyone have a panel of comedy discussion. Facial expressions are also very
useful. Be a joker or clown of the day. Have a passion to it. Sneak even a
little time from them and surely they will never regret spending their little
time cracking jokes and sharing happy stories in life. In fact they would forget
the time and would never want to stop it. Seeing their faces with a big smile
and laughter is the best gift each can give and share. And surely they will
never want to miss a day without it. They would even remember it when they go
home and sleep. It will continuously flash back in front of their happy faces,
ending their day with a smile.
Family, friends and everyone is invited. These people are very important for it is them
should be shared and not just for oneself. These people might have different
trials encountered in life and the smile is surely what they have been waiting
for. Show to them that no matter how hard the life is, be confident and tell
them your secret to it. Smile! Live life to the fullest and never let the day
pass without a simple smile. And surely everything follows.

31 Ways to Get Happy - for Free!
Everywhere we look these days there seems to be difficulty and trouble. Our world has become like a roller coaster in many ways. Prices are up, the Dow is down, grocery costs are rising, the dollars in our wallet are shrinking, heating oil is up, the temperature is falling. And although we feel hopeful, there are days when our spirits sink.
Words about money have penetrated our language. Words like debt, bankruptcy, downturn, deficit and depression are now used frequently with ease and familiarity. But, the money word I don't hear enough of is "change."
There are the coins that pool at the bottom of your purse, lie in a drawer or stack up in a jar on the nightstand. Each time we throw a coin in the jar, it adds up. When we finally get around to taking our change to the bank and the teller hands us a $20 bill, we see that those single pieces really added up.
The other kind of change is what happens when we turn our focus away from the roller coaster ride and on to the small things in our lives that add up to lots of joy and happiness. Like the individual pieces of change in our purses and jars that add up, so will joy and happiness when we positively change the way we view our lives and situation.
The truth is that most of us are dealing with the fallout of the financial crisis in one way or another. We are all in this together. We each have the power to move from awful to awe-filled. We can chose to focus on what we have instead of what we do not have, what our blessings are instead of our curses and what we kept as opposed to what we have lost.
There are lots of ways to bring joy, happiness, peace, laughter, hope and comfort into your life, and they cost absolutely nothing. They are free. There is no charge.
Really ask yourself, "What are the best things in life?" Make a list of the top 25 things in your life. I'll bet they aren't things at all. They are the people in your life and the moments you share with the ones you love that will fill this list. Your list, like mine, will be overflowing with all the seemingly small stuff that adds up to be priceless.
Every day there are trillions of treasures that cost nothing, and they enrich our lives in countless ways. When we turn our attention to counting and embracing the small things in front of us, we feel like a million bucks.
Have fun celebrating, discovering, inventing and sharing the things that you love to do that cost nothing.

6 Personality Traits to Admire and Acquire
2. Tolerance: Those people who are tolerant make us feel comfortable with who we are and special as individuals. All of us are different, and many of us have quirks and idiosyncrasies. After all, these differences make the world go round. Having the ability to accept people for who they are and not expect them to be who we want them to be is important in life, happiness and in the health of our relationships.
3. Genuineness: Having the ability to be real, authentic and honest is unique in a world where we put so much emphasis on the superficial. Feeling comfortable in one’s skin and being true to one’s self is one of the most beautiful traits one can possess. To have a REAL relationship with someone requires honesty…it requires hearing and giving input or feedback that may not always be popular…it means having the strength to tell it like it is and to not be afraid to face the consequences for doing so…it means loving people for who they really are…deep down…and not for what they appear to be.
4. Sensitivity: So often we are focused on what is important to ourselves that we can forget about those around us. Those who are sensitive are often thoughtful, appreciative and loving, in a way that makes you feel understood, valued and respected. Often, sensitive people are also self-aware, making them mindful of how they impact others with what they do and say.
5. Integrity: Call me cynical, but I think this characteristic is especially difficult to find. In a time when people will do things that are underhanded to make an extra buck (Bernie Madoff…can you hear me?), expose their personal lives to the public so they can be famous (balloon boy’s dad and any other reality TV mongers) and do what feels good in the moment without necessarily thinking of the consequences (Tiger Woods), integrity is a characteristic that is especially unique today.
6. Humility: Whether someone is super-smart, extremely talented or drop-dead gorgeous, there is something extra special about them if they don’t come across as though they know it all the time. Humility in those that possess extraordinary traits make others feel special too.

How to Find Happiness - 7 timeless Tips from the Last 2500 Years
1. You choose.
Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Abraham Lincoln Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus
The world of those who are happy is different from the world of those who are not.
Ludwig Wittgenstein
How your view yourself and your world are conscious choices and habits. The lens you choose to view everything through determines how you will interpret what is happening. And from your interpretation you act. And all of this becomes your life.
You can choose to find happiness in small, everyday things. You can choose to interpret what happens in a positive way. Or in a negative way.
And your choices controls much of how much happiness your will find and create in your life.
2. Focus on the present, not yesterday or tomorrow.
When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.
Helen Keller
The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance, the wise grows it under his feet.
James Oppenheim
You only have now. And now. And now. Yesterday is a memory and you cannot change it. Tomorrow is just a fantasy in your mind right now. So live more in the now, focus on the present moment and today. Think and worry less about yesterday and tomorrow. Otherwise you might miss a great deal of happiness that is available to you right now.
3. Don’t forget to be grateful.
Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it.
Fyodor Dostoevsky
We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.
Frederick Keonig
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
Marcel Proust
One of the simplest and quickest ways to turn a negative and sour mood into a more positive one is to be grateful.
A few things you can feel gratitude for are for instance: The sunshine and the weather. Your roof. Your health. A good TV-show, a movie or a song. Your friends, family, co-workers and just about anyone walking down the street.
Just try if for a minute and see how it changes how you feel. And it’s a win/win solution. You feel great because you are grateful about your world and the people you are grateful for feel great too because they feel appreciated. So don´t forget about gratitude or you may forget about the happiness that is already in your life.
4. Help someone else find happiness.
Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give.
Eleanor Roosevelt
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
Buddha
If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day — go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else.
Chinese Proverb
Happiness is like a kiss. You must share it to enjoy it.
Bernard Meltzer
This is certainly one of the most popular ideas I’ve found about happiness. And it might sound clichéd and empty. But it works very well. When you make someone else happy – by, for example, helping them with something – you can sense, see, feel and hear it. And that happy feeling flows back to you. And then, if you’d like, you can boost you own ego by thinking something like: ”Wow, I really made him/her happy!”.
And since the Law of Reciprocity is strong there is another upside. People will feel like giving back to you. Or they might feel like helping/sharing it with someone else. And so the two – or more – of you keep spreading the happiness.
5. Get rid of a couple of your less valuable desires.
If thou wilt make a man happy, add not unto his riches but take away from his desires.
Epicurus
You can never get enough of what you don’t need to make you happy.
Eric Hoffer
That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest.
Henry David Thoreau
If you want less instead of more, more, more then your desires are more likely to be fulfilled. And if you throw away a few of those desires that you may not really want or need that much anyway you’ll probably start to feel less stressed and worried. This is a calmer and better place to be to enjoy your day (tip #2) and to take the time discover the happiness that is already in your life (tip #3).
6. Do what you like to do.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
Albert Schweitzer
Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
A pretty obvious one. But it’s still easy to trap yourself into doing what you don’t want to for many, many hours. And seldom do what you really love to do. And I guess this one ties into tip #1. You may not be able to choose to do what you want to do right now. Or for many hours each day or week. But you almost always have a choice to do more of what you really want to do. There is always time. Or time you can free up. You have a choice.
7. Or at least do something.
Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.
Benjamin Disraeli
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
Mark Twain
One of the best ways to not find happiness is just to hold yourself back and do nothing. Seldom show up. Paralyze yourself through over analysis. It’s not always easy to take action, it can be scary and hard and difficult. But if you don’t take action you’ll be missing out on a lot. Including many moments, people and experiences that can bring you a lot of happiness.
